I STAYED IN THE VILLA FOR ONE WEEK DURING AUGUST 09. THE PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL, THE SWIMMING POOL IS VERY NICE EVENTHOGH IT DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS AROUND THE POOL.THE VERY GOOD THING ABOUT THE VILLA IS THAT IT WAS CLEANES EVERYDAY AND THE TOWELS HAS BEEN CHANGED EVERYDAY TOO. THE STAFF WAS VERY VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY AND HELPED US IN OUR TOURING PLANS. THE ONLY THING I WOULD ADD TO THE PLACE IS A COFFEE MACHINE TO THE VILLAS. I WRMLY RECOMMEND STAYING IN THE PLACE AND I ALSO HOPE TO RETURN SOON.

We celebrated our wedding at the villa last July 22nd. We just celebrated our 1st year anniversary and all we wanted to do was go back to the villa and do it all over again. The villa was beautiful, rooms were stunning and the people were easy going and soooo friendly and helpful. We will go back to visit, hopefully sooner rather than later

Verena and Serena, I apologize for the delayed "thank you" email, getting back to normal life has been slow. We had our big reception in Arizona a week after we got back from our honeymoon in Greece. And while it was great to see all the people that couldn't be with us to celebrate in Italy... it will never be what we had at the villa. Alex and I had the most AMAZING wedding!! We made memories that will never be forgotten and that can never be replicated. Many people have since asked us about the villa and our first response is, "You will never believe how beautiful it is. Pictures don't do it justice.". The grounds were always perfect and the food was wonderful. But what truly made our experience was the both of you! Thank you SO VERY MUCH for all your hard work. We couldn't have asked for nicer people to celebrate with us. Alex and I will absolutely be back for an anniversary. I hope for the first anniversary, but we'll see. We just may continue to come back throughout our entire lives. Who knows, maybe one day we'll bring a little bundle of joy with us!! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We stayed at the Villa from the 2nd September 2008 to 8th September 2008 and had such a wonderful time. The Villa was gorgeous and immaculately kept. It was the perfect location and venue for our amazing wedding reception. We were married in the town hall in Florence then had our reception in the villa's marquee. Verena and Serena helped us so much with our wedding preparations and we were so grateful for all their recommendations. 19 of our family and friends also stayed at this lovely villa with us and couldn't believe the views and setting for our wedding. Everybody commented on how it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Thank you to all the pleasant staff and also, Verena & Serena for their hard work. Sorry it has taken us so long to post a comment about your beautiful villa. One thing my husband and I can guarantee is that you will not be disappointed with your stay at the Villa Poggio ai merli as it is one of the best in the Florence area.

This April we returned to your wonderful villa with, as promised, more of our family. The villa was even better than we imagined. You sill had Serena and for that we were thankful. Verena was extremely helpful. The views from and comfort of the our suite was magnificent. The one thing that I forgot to mention in previous reviews were that the villa was so centrally located that it made trips to Pisa, Firenza, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca, and Ovieto easy day trips. Don't miss the wonderful hot chocolate that comes with the luscious breakfasts.
